OUR STORY
My name is Tenille and I’m the owner of BUCK’N CO.
Firstly I would like to welcome you to my little corner of the internet, I am so happy you are here and I just know you are going to love it!
BUCK’N CO started as a way for me to connect to my father after losing him in 2011. My dad, ‘Buck’ or ‘Bucko’ as everyone knew him as, would create incredible things out of timber, leather and copper from his little workshop in our back shed, where he spent most of his time after being diagnosed with severe epilepsy which meant he couldn’t work anymore. I fondly remember him spending hours on various projects, and I would often join him in bringing his creations to life. Being in that workshop gave him purpose.
Over time some of the magic my dad weaved on timber, leather and copper rubbed off on me — however it wasn’t until I was given his old tools and leather tooling gear that it reignited my passion to follow in his footsteps and create.
Working with my dad’s old tools reminded me of the days I would spend with him in his workshop; it made it feel like he was there with me, moulding these raw materials into these beautiful pieces. In a way, creating helped me grieve losing him, something I couldn’t do properly as a 16 year old.
All the pieces you find at BUCK’N CO are inspired by the creations my dad used to make and my life growing up on an acreage in the country with all our animals; we had ALL the animals, you name it, we had it.
I love that I can now keep my dad’s memory kickin’ on, and share a piece of my country western life, through BUCK’N CO. Each piece has a meaning behind them and I can’t wait to share these all with you; to give you all a little piece of me and a little piece of him, and to see the homes these pieces will live on.
With all my love, Tenille x
